The Itoi Shigesato no Bass Tsuri No. 1 series is a Japan-only series of bass fishing games created by Shigesato Itoi (of EarthBound series fame).

Players assuming the role of Shigesato Itoi, catch fish which they can later sell for money to buy better fishing equipment. This then allows the player to obtain bigger or harder to catch fish. The series also contains characters which Norio Hikone (a professional Japanese illustrator) owns copyright to.

The series began as a standard Super Famicom cassette game, with Satellaview compatibility and Satellaview exclusive tournaments (see Itoi Shigesato no Bass Tsuri No. 1 (Satellaview)). An enhanced version of the game was later released for the Nintendo 64, as Itoi Shigesato no Bass Tsuri No.1 Ketteihan!.
