To answer your question BoredPikachu!, i think they would apply  , since Nintendo is helping spread the franchise through distribution rights, and they use Nintendo's advertising team  for their commercials in the US.

*Points to user name* Other than Pikachu, I really like the Chikorita and Mareep evolution lines.

Yoshi, I really don't have a reason why I like Yoshi but I just do whether in Super Smash Bros., Mario Kart, or Super Mario 64 DS.

I hope that this Generation is as good as the others (It should right?) But this time I will either choose the water or grass choice depending who will be the 1st Gym Leader and its type. But I'm excited for what they will have in store for this Generation.

For me, my favorite manga is Yotsuba&!, written from the same person who wrote Azumanga Daioh. Like Azumanga Daioh, Yotsuba&!'s plot has kept me interested in it and see how the author's style has changed since his last series.

Let's see, my top 2 animes are Azumanga Daioh because it was the first non-Pokémon anime I saw and was hooked on it and loved it ever since and then comes The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya since it kept me hooked and currently awaiting its English dub for the Endless Eight/Sighs arc :3.
