Favorite Mario character?

Lest it be from the upcoming Super Mario Galaxy 2, back to Donkey Kong, or even the American SMB2, what's your favorite Mario character? Mine's Yoshi.

I like Luigi. He's pretty cool. And then there's Mario. I think that they both qualify for favorites in my book. And perhaps Yoshi... Why can't I make up my mind? o_O

Yoshi is a species, so it's likely that there are both male and female Yoshis to be found.


My favourite character is King Bowser, but I also like several other characters, including Wario and Luigi, and also some less famous ones like Goombella, Koops, Koopie Koo, Vivian, Admiral Bobbery, Hooktail, Lady Bow, Sushie, and Geno.

As far as I know, Yoshi is a name for men in Japan, and Yoshi's indeed refered to as "he" in the games.

Anyways, my favorite character is Toad. The classic one. Yoshi's in a close second place though.

Not really. Yoshi's Japanese name is Yossh?. This is not a name that real people get. Yosh? and Yoshi, which are the closest two, are both female names.

BTW Yoshi is usually refered to a a boy (well the main green "Yoshi" we know and love).Why do yo think he is usually with Birdo (Which is awkward since Birdo is a boy in Japan but a girl in America),.....
