The party takes the wrong path and falls into the Pit of 100 Trials.

Upon landing, the group meets Captain Olimar huddling in the corner with a single red pikmin.

A Gloomba is attacking Olimar.

Link equips a bombchu and sets it loose.

The bombchu makes the red pikmin explode

Mario fires out a fireball at the Gloomba.

the Gloomba explodes, leaving a coin

Olimar turned out to be an evil Ditto.

Mario tell Kirlia to use protect as he goes and gets the coin

Kirlia refuses to follow Mario's commands.

However, Kirlia is none too pleased at Mario for leaving her to face the Octorok without him.

The Ditto Mario equips a Hammer Bros. suit and unleashes a volley of hammers upon the hapless heroes.

Red and Pikachu hurry down to the Pit to help Mario and Falco defeat the evil Ditto.
