I know a lot of you have dealt with moving off of Wikia, so any help would be appreciated - getting templates fixed and up and everything!

Kirby Wiki's merge with Wikirby was cancelled. Though I have a feeling it'll happen eventually.

I wonder why NIWA didn't officially announce it till today, when we Universe members have known for about a week...

Because it allows a time for the excitement among the general public to build up. The Facebook post that a new member is coming generally has a guessing game of sorts in its comments. Remember, only the staff of the wikis know who the new member is; the general public do not.

Yeah, the wiki normally knows it much before, but we like to keep it as a nice surprise. The biggest surprise is coming December 10th
