So for a vacation recently I went to NYC. And I visited the Nintendo World Store. There I was able to buy Pikmin plush toys. This shows that Pikmin is still regarded as a "series".

I flipped through the new Nintendo Power while in a looooong line at Walmart last night and the "featured character"-like page has Captain Olimar this month.
