What 3rd party Character qualifies as a Smasher or AT?
Here are the rules Sakurai, the creator of Smash Bros. laid down...

1. Character must have first appeared in a video game, (Not an Anime, TV, Movie or Cartoon)

2. Character must have appeared in at least one (or more) game on a Nintendo System,

3. Character must have the ability to fight, in order to be playable, no nonsense characters such as "Tetris Block"

or soap from call of duty modern warfare reflex edition? (in his cod:mw3 form once revealed)

Don't know, and really doesn't matter to me . It is the rules the topic initiator started off with, so that's what i think we should be going by.

Snake is an exception due to Hideo Kojima's and Masahiro Sakurai's friendship. It is not necessarily a precedent that will allow the flood gates open and more mature-game characters in.

if Nintendo takes player suggestions (like they did for Melee or brawl), and this time around they do it world wide AND allow for characters like them, then i recommend you try and see if they accept it.

i still think duke nukem  deserves a better game than forever *shudders*
plus soap mctavish is in  two M games maybe 3 anyways but *shrugs*
