Well what do you call the series as a whole? EarthBound or Mother?

I call it Mother, because that is what most of the games are known as. I also tend to call EarthBound Mother 2 a lot, even when referring to the American release.

I personally call it Mother, partially due to the fan translation of Mother 3... but Earthbound is much better known so I use that to talk to people who don't know that much about it. (Essentially everyone I know in real life...)

My friends aren't that EB/Mother knowledgeable, as in like, they've never even played any of the games. So when like I'm on a forums, Mother, but EB when I'm with my friends. I sometimes get them mixed up when I'm around them, and I even purposely say "Mother" because when they think of Mother, they think of their mom lol
