A new Nintendo console at E3?

Big emphasis on the controller.  No specs yet, probably won't get any for a while.  They did announce big 3rd party titles, so has to be on par with 360 and PS3.

The Wii U actually looks promising. The controller is cool, and, from what I've heard, isn't as uncomfortable as it looks. So far, the Wii U looks like a powered up Wii and a new controller. I like that it has good backwards compatibility and that it uses all of the controllers of the Wii, so I won't have to buy too many new controllers.

it's a video game console, the name doesn't have to be appealing.

But look at all the flak the Wii has gotten from "hardcore" gamers, does Nintendo really think a system supposed to attract them called the "Wii U" really will appeal?
