Famicom Detective Club: The Missing Heir and The Girl Who Stands Behind are two Nintendo Switch remakes of Famicom Tantei Club: Kieta Koukeisha​ and Famicom Tantei Club Part II: Ushiro ni Tatsu Shoujo (Famicom Tantei Club I and II). They were announced during the Japan September 2019 Nintendo Direct, in collaboration with MAGES.

For the February 2021 Nintendo Direct, the game was announced again, and it was revealed they would be localised outside of Japan.[2]
