Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is an action role-playing game developed by Monolith Soft for the Nintendo Switch and the third main entry in the Xenoblade Chronicles series. The game was announced during Nintendo Direct on February 9, 2022, and was released in July 2022.

Downloadable content

As with Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will be receiving additional paid downloadable content through the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Expansion Pass. The Expansion Pass was made available for pre-order starting on June 22, granting access to four waves of content:[2]

  • Wave 1 (July 29, 2022) - Includes a set of items and color variations for character outfits.
  • Wave 2 (October 13, 2022) - Includes Challenge Battle mode, the additional Hero Ino and associated Hero Quests, and additional character outfits.[6]
  • Wave 3 (February 15, 2023) - Includes additional battles for Challenge Battle mode, the additional hero Masha and associated quests, and additional character outfits.[7]
  • Wave 4 (Releasing by December 31, 2023) - Includes an additional story.
