Rename to Magical Vacation series
The only English source that describes the entirety of the series is Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. In that game, the series is referred to, even in English, as the Magical Vacation series, even despite the fact that the only game in the series that released outside of Japan was Magical Starsign. It uses artwork from Magical Starsign while calling the series Magical Vacation. That is in contrast to something like the Mother series, which is properly changed to EarthBound in English. I think this page should be renamed to 'Magical Vacation series'. If I forget to come back to this, the best logo to use would be the logo of the series from the Nintendo E3 2006 Press Disc, which can be found here: https://kovopedia.com/wiki/File:Magical_Vacation_(series)_Logo.png Rman41 (talk) 11:39, 24 November 2022 (UTC)

- Oppose. I already gave out my thoughts over on SmashWiki, but to sum it up: Ultimate's Spirits menu has a number of glaring issues that make me question its use as a legitimate source for stuff like this.
- My only suggestion is that we wait until we get another installment in the "Magical Vacation/Starsign" series
if they ever make one, that isand see what the English title uses. If it uses "Vacation", then we can switch to that. - But as is, I think it's best to use the only official English title available. The Jacketed Terrapin 09:27, 13 January 2023 (UTC)
- I gave my contention with that at SmashWiki, and I did not continue there, because I felt that it would be wrong of me to challenge the conventions of SmashWiki given SmashWiki sometimes does use unofficial terminologies and such, and I am more than aware of that. However, here I will still oppose that thinking. While Smash Ultimate's labels do have some inconsistencies, it is still absolutely true that the only time the series as a whole has been given a label was in Ultimate. It does not matter at that point what inconsistencies lie therein, because it is the only source available. Starsign is a title that only belongs to the game Magical Starsign; it is not "the only official English title available," because it is not an official English title at all for what is being described. Ultimate is a legitimate source to the extent that no other sources exist. No other sources exist, therefore it is the only legitimate source. To call the series the Magical Starsign series is simply fan-made terminology, there's no way around that. Also, the idea that we should wait for a new installment in questioning the current information we have is a poor idea. One, this series is unlikely to get a new installment in the near future. Two, it would not be right of us to just hope that this dilemma would be solved by whatever new entry would come about. Rman41 (talk) 01:06, 19 January 2023 (UTC)
