Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is an upcoming game for Nintendo Switch and the sequel to Xenoblade Chronicles 2. The game was announced during Nintendo Direct on February 9, 2022.

Join Noah and Mio, members of the two opposing nations of Keves and Agnus, on a heartfelt journey to end the cycle of violence. A group of six characters from these nations join together to awaken the colonies of Aionios and expose the true threat both nations face. As with Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will be receiving additional paid downloadable content through the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Expansion Pass. The Expansion Pass was made available for pre-order starting on June 22, granting access to four waves of content:[2]
- Wave 1 (July 29, 2022): Includes additional items and color variations for character outfits.
- Wave 2 (Releasing by December 31, 2022): Includes a "Challenge Battle" mode, an additional hero with new quests, and additional character outfits.
- Wave 3 (Releasing by April 30, 2023): Includes additional battles for Challenge Battle mode, an additional hero with new quests, and additional character outfits.
- Wave 4 (Releasing by December 31, 2023): Includes an additional story.
