Mother, also known unofficially by fans as EarthBound Zero, is the first game in the EarthBound series and was released on the Nintendo Entertainment System. Despite being only released in Japan, it has a complete English localization by Nintendo that was never officially released, with the only copies being a small amount of prototype cartridges.
