The sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is an upcoming Nintendo Switch game in the The Legend of Zelda series, which will directly follow on from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. [1]

As of present, not much more information is known about the game.

Development

The idea of the game came when Eiji Aonuma wanted to revisit the Hyrule from the original The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. After considering downloadable content, since a lot of ideas were already gathered, he instead decided to start a new game as a sequel to the original one.[2][3]
