Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is an upcoming game for Nintendo Switch and the sequel to Xenoblade Chronicles 2. The game was announced during Nintendo Direct on February 9, 2022.

As with Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will be receiving additional paid downloadable content through the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Expansion Pass. The Expansion Pass was made available for pre-order starting on June 22, granting access to four waves of content:[2]
- Wave 1 (July 29, 2022): Includes additional items and color variations for character outfits.
- Wave 2 (Releasing by December 31, 2022): Includes a "Challenge Battle" mode, an additional hero with new quests, and additional character outfits.
- Wave 3 (Releasing by April 30, 2023): Includes additional battles for Challenge Battle mode, an additional hero with new quests, and additional character outfits.
- Wave 4 (Releasing by December 31, 2023): Includes an additional story.
