"Beware of Mug: Part 1" is the fifth episode of Threediots. It was first released on Nintendo Video on July 12, 2012. The title for this episode is a portmanteau of "Beware of dog," a warning sign indicating that a dangerous dog is within, and Mug, its main antagonist.
Description
A devious smiley coffee cup named Mug negatorily influences Burke and plans to turn every member of humanity into his minions.
Plot
Burke starts his Monday finding a happy face mug for sale, which he decides to buy so he can drink from it every day to remind himself to be happy. Back at the office, Burke greets Lola and Baltasar at breakfast, wishing them a happy Monday; the two are unenthusiastic. Burke's happy face mug calls to him, advising that Lola and Baltasar are conspiring against him - Burke first believes they simply have the Monday blues, but Mug convinces him he needs to stop taking their disrespect. Burke is asked by Lola to pass food or a utensil and Burke snaps, advising he's done taking their disrespect and will be leaving. Baltasar blames his behavior on a case of the Monday's.
Burke is convinced by Mug to make a video that tells people something about himself. Burke attempts to sing a song about people calling him Crazy Legs, because his legs are crazy - but is interrupted by Mug who believes he could do better, and suggests his own script - an order to bow down to the mug, per the dawn of a new muggy era. Burke starts to recite this phrase, but stops himself, suspicious of Mug's intent with their video. Mug starts crying when questioned, and Burke tries to make him feel better by offering him some coffee. Mug advises it would be delicious, almost as delicious as world domination. Burke is none the wiser to Mug's true intentions, and the first part ends there.
