The Hajimari no Mori series revolves around the legends/stories pertaining to the Forest of Beginnings and Kuzunoki Village, branded under Famicom Bunko (Famicom Books), the player character (a young boy) and the mysterious girl he finds.[1]
It is a text-adventure series; like the Shin Onigashima series (and parent Famicom Mukashi Banashi series) before it, specifically an interactive illustrated story with a span of different outcomes based on choice, but in this case, one conclusive (positive) end.
The original game Hajimari no Mori was released for Super Famicom specifically exclusively for the Nintendo Power (cartridge service).

Legacy
