Action Adventure was a cancelled 3D action-adventure title in development for the Nintendo GameCube, and one of the first projects to be worked on by Retro Studios. While the game's story never got past concept phases, the game would have featured three female characters as the lead protagonists.
Weeks before SpaceWorld 2000, Nintendo gave Retro Studios the license to develop a Metroid title for the Nintendo GameCube, leading to the decision to completely scrap Action Adventure in favor of having the team work on the new Metroid game.
