History
The Inazuma Eleven game series had its first video games released in Japan in 2008, based upon and following the events of the Inazuma Eleven manga and animated television programme. A new entry in the series was released every subsequent year, all of which developed by Level-5. Level-5 published the games in Japan. In 2011, The Inazuma Eleven anime was dubbed for European audiences and broadcast on Cartoon Network, and the first game in the series was released in Europe accordingly. The sequels, Inazuma Eleven 2: Firestorm and Blizzard were also localised.
The Inazuma Eleven Strikers series on Wii allowed players to participate in Inazuma Eleven-style association football matches on Wii. The games were comparable to Super Mario Strikers, and its sequel Mario Strikers Charged.
