Inkipedia is the twenty-fifth wiki to join the NIWA network in July 2015, as part of the sixth wave alongside Hard Drop Tetris Wiki. The wiki's primary content is on Splatoon, an online shooter game released by Nintendo in 2015, and as such covers aspects such as the game's stages and weapons and even aspects such as notable tournaments and players.
History
The Wikia wiki Splatoon Wiki was originally created by Lumoshi on June 10, 2014, the day of the original announcement of the game at E3 2014. Later, in April of 2013, members of Pikipedia approached the community, suggesting that they move to an independent server and join NIWA. The process of moving began May 18, and the wiki was finally officially inducted into NIWA on July 4.
In June of 2016, a French version of the wiki, Inkipédia, was launched.
