"Fire Emblem Wii" (referred to in an interview simply as the "Illusive Wii Title") refers to an unreleased experimental title in the Fire Emblem series, in development after the completion of Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn but before Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon.

Gameplay

Players would traverse a world based on southern European architecture.[1] The game would have been a real-time strategy game with gameplay described as being similar to the Pikmin series, in which players control a large number of characters simultaneously.[2][3] In the "field" gameplay, players would be able to traverse the world and interact with other characters, and by walking onto select icons the player would engage in battles with enemies.[1]

Development

After the disappointing sales of Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, the developers began experimenting with different styles of gameplay so that the franchise might appeal to a broader audience. However, development on this project ended due to a lack of direction and focus.[2]
