Drag x Drive is a sports game for the Nintendo Switch 2. The game resembles wheelchair basketball and has players compete on a 3 person teams. The game was scheduled to be release in August 2025 on the Switch 2 eShop.

Gameplay

Drag x Drive is a multiplayer-oriented game controlled by using the Joy-Con 2 in mouse mode. The player controls a robot in a wheelchair-like vehicle in a basketball-like court with halfpipes at the end of the court. The player controls the game by sliding the Joy-Con 2 as if they were moving the wheels themselves so that rolling one will turn the vehicle in that direction. When the player lifts the Joy-Con 2 fully, they will raise the robot's hands and if they have the ball, they will be able to shoot it in the opposing team's basket. The player can also drive up the ramps to dunk the basketball if they get close enough.

The games are played in 3-on-3 matches with rules similar to wheelchair basketball.

Development

The game was originally announced in the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct on April 2, 2025 with a release date scheduled during the summer. The game was subtly noted to be a digital-only release through an Ask the Developer interview for the Nintendo Switch 2. The August 14 release date was revealed through the Nintendo Today! app in late June.
