MBC2 (Game Boy mapper)

MBC2 is a licensed Game Boy chip and Game Boy mapper by Nintendo and Sharp, with memory bank controller support.

MBC2 is similar to the MBC1 mapper but it appears far less games officially use it. The maximum ROM and RAM sizes are actually smaller compared to the MBC1 (256KiB ROM and 512x4 bits RAM) and a maximum of 16 ROM banks. Unlike MBC1 it cannot use external RAM; the 512x4 bits RAM is in the MBC2 chip itself.
