Shin Megami Tensei V is a turn-based role-playing game and the fifth core installment in the Shin Megami Tensei series of Megami Tensei games, developed by Atlus for the Nintendo Switch. The game is set to be released worldwide in November 2021, published by Atlus in Japan, by Nintendo in Europe and Australia, and by Sega in other regions.

When a grisly murder scene in modern-day Tokyo blocks our protagonists walk home, an unplanned detour leaves him buried and unconscious.

He awakens in a new Tokyo, a wasteland ravaged by apocalypse now called Da’at... but before bloodthirsty demons can claim his life, a savior emerges, and they unite to become a mighty being neither human nor demon: a Nahobino.

With newfound power, the protagonist ventures through Da’at, an enigmatic realm filled with mythical deities and demonic tyrants in constant conflict for survival.

Searching for answers, the protagonist must forge his own path in a battle between light and dark to dictate the fate of the world.

Story

Shin Megami Tensei V features a high school student in modern-day Tokyo as the main character. After entering a mysterious tunnel, the protagonist is caught in an earthquake and knocked unconscious. He then awakens in a post-apocalyptic Tokyo known as Da'at, a world inhabited by warring demons and angels. As the protagonist is attacked by a group of demons, he is saved by a being named Aogami, and the two fuse into a Nahobino, a being with the power to fight the angels and demons.[1][2]
