Qix is a Game Boy game. It is a Nintendo version of Taito's previous 1981 arcade game (also licensed on many other platforms including a later NES version not published by Nintendo) Qix.
Summary
In Qix, the player draws lines (by holding down the A-Button) to form blocks by moving a cursor. This fills in a portion of the screen, and once a large percentage of the screen is filled, the game progresses to the next level.
Obstacles will cause the player to lose a life if the player touches it while moving the cursor, such as a radar which can only move between the unfilled spaces, as well as sparks. A strategy (although dangerous) is to corner the radar, filling the space around it.
By holding down B-Button as well as A-Button, the player can choose to make thicker-filled shapes at the cost of it being slower to move.[1]
