Sonic Lost World is a 3D platforming video game made for the Wii U by Sonic Team and Nintendo 3DS by Dimps, and the latest installment in the mainline Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is the first in a three-game exclusivity deal between Nintendo and Sega for the Sonic the Hedgehog series, followed by Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games and Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric/Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal. Because of the exclusivity deal, the console version of the game was a Wii U-exclusive title until 2015, when a PC port was announced to be released in November of that year.
