VS. Wrecking Crew is a game for Nintendo VS. System. It was released in 1984 and predates the home console version of Wrecking Crew. It has a planned rerelease for Nintendo Arcade Archives.
Summary
The game plays like Wrecking Crew, but with various simpler traits and with no level editor (see Super Mario Wiki article for further details). Luigi also replaces Foreman Spike.
