Devil's Third is a Wii U exclusive third-person hack and slash game. Originally announced by THQ for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, the rights to the game were returned to Valhalla Games after THQ was closed down in 2013, and Nintendo obtained publishing rights. Regardless, the multiplayer mode has been announced to be released as a standalone title for PC (titled Devil's Third Online).

Devil in the Details
A Wii U exclusive third-person shooter/combat game arrives from the creative mind of legendary designer Tomonobu Itagaki.
- Devil’s Third is an over-the-top, third-person action shooter that combines modern military weaponry with ninja-style swordplay and melee combat.
- The game has a unique vision for a deep and challenging online mode that blends clan-based action, resource management and strategy.
Story
Satellite debris surrounding the earth has been colliding active satellites, leading to a large number of satellites being destroyed from a chain reaction of collisions, and war has erupted across the globe in the chaos.
Gameplay
Devil's Third is mostly a third-person action game in which players control a character named Ivan, who can attack using melee-based weapons, or a gun for ranged attacks. When aiming the gun, the camera switches to first person for aiming, while melee attacks can be chained and end with a cinematic finishing move. Players can swap weapons, throw them, or have their weapon stolen in the middle of a combo.
The game also features online multiplayer, with several modes.
