LEGO City Undercover is a licensed LEGO action-adventure game, developed by TT Fusion exclusively for Wii U and released by Nintendo in 2013. The game is specifically based upon the LEGO City brand.
A prequel game, LEGO City Undercover: The Chase Begins, was released for Nintendo 3DS soon after the release of this game.
In Europe, LEGO City Undercover launched alongside a bundle that included an exclusive minifigure of protagonist Chase McCain.[1] In North America and Australia, the figure was included as a pre-order bonus.[2]

Story
LEGO City Undercover stars Chase McCain, a police officer who had left LEGO City two years ago after accidentally revealing the name of his ex-girlfriend Natalia Kowalski, who had found evidence to catch and convict criminal Rex Fury, on national television. Chase is called back to LEGO City by Mayor Gleeson after a major crime wave she believes was masterminded by Rex, who had recently escaped from prison. After stopping some robberies and learning that Rex had hired the robbers, Chase visits Rex's prison and finds that he escaped from his cell using a hammer from the mines. The two encounter each other at the mines, but Rex knocks Chase out and escapes. After the encounter, Chase is allowed to go undercover in order to go deeper into the case and stop Rex.
