Mario Kart World is the Nintendo Switch 2 installment in the Mario Kart series, and its sixteenth installment. The game was originally teased on the Nintendo Switch 2 trailer on January 16, 2025[1] before being officially announced on the April 2 Nintendo Direct that year.[2]
It is slated to be released worldwide as a launch title on June 5, 2025.[3]
