Yo-kai Watch 2 refers to the two games making up the second installment of the Yo-kai Watch series: Yo-kai Watch 2: Fleshy Spirits and Yo-kai Watch 2: Bony Souls. The two games were originally released in Japan in June 2014, and were later announced during E3 2016 to be released in North America, once again localized by Nintendo, in September of that year.
In Japan, a third version of the game, titled Yo-kai Watch 2: Shin'uchi (妖怪ウォッチ2 真打), was released in December of 2014. This release builds upon and improves the new gameplay mechanics introduced in the other two versions.
In North America, copies of the game come with an exclusive Yo-kai Medal which, when scanned in the game, gives Jibanyan a new Soultimate Move.[3]
