Fusajiro Yamauchi

Fusajiro Yamauchi (formally Fusajirō Fukui/福井 房治郎) was the founder of Nintendo in 1889.
He was born in Kyoto, Japan in 1859 as the eldest son of Sosuke Fukui.[1][2]
Before forming Nintendo, he worked at the Haiko Cement Company.[3]
On September 23, 1889 he opened a Hanafuda card shop known as Nintendo Koppai.[4][5]
His successor was his son-in-law Sekiryo Kaneda.
