Super Mario Bros. Wonder is an upcoming side-scrolling 2D platformer game in the Super Mario series. It is the first traditional 2D Super Mario game since New Super Mario Bros. U, which was released in 2012.

Gameplay
As one of six confirmed playable characters (Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Princess Daisy, Toad and Yoshi), the player travels through levels in the Flower Kingdom, assisted by the talking flowers that live there. Mario and friends collect Wonder Seeds in this game. Two new powerups are introduced, the Wonder Flower that completely transforms characters, levels and enemies, and an unnamed mushroom resembling an elephant, that turns Mario into Elephant Mario.
