Yo-kai Watch 3 is the third mainline installment in the Yo-kai Watch series, following Yo-kai Watch and Yo-kai Watch 2. It was released on Nintendo 3DS in 2016 in Japan, 2018 in Europe and Australia, and 2019 in North America. In Japan, the game was initially released with two versions, Sushi and Tempura; a third version, Sukiyaki, was released later the same year. Overseas, only one version was released, based on Sukiyaki. Outside Japan, it was one of the last games released on Nintendo 3DS, and it is currently the most recent installment of the series to be released outside Japan.

A sequel, Yo-kai Watch 4, was released in 2019 exclusively in Japan.
