The Nintendo 3DS Transfer Tool is an application released on the Nintendo DSi Shop in 2011 (2012 in South Korea), allowing users to transfer content from a Nintendo DSi system to a Nintendo 3DS system.
At release in Australia, the tool faced a problem, in which users would download the tool but it would not appear on their system. Nintendo of Australia would later fix the issue, allowing users to re-download the application, which would show up properly on systems.[1]
The Nintendo 3DS Transfer Tool allows you to transfer Nintendo DSiWare and data from your Nintendo DSi/Nintendo DSi XL system to your Nintendo 3DS system.
Transferable Data includes:
*Wi-Fi Configuration Data - You can transfer Internet Settings and your Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection ID
*Photos and Recordings - You can transfer photos and recordings from the Nintendo DSi Camera and Nintendo DSi Sound software preinstalled on the Nintendo DSi system.
*Nintendo DSiWare - You can transfer Nintendo DSiWare.
Please note:
*You cannot transfer from a Nintendo 3DS system to a Nintendo DSi/Nintendo DSi XL system.
*Once a transfer has been made, it cannot be undone.
*Some Nintendo DSiWare software cannot be transferred.
*Nintendo DSiWare save data is not transferred to the Nintendo 3DS system along with the Nintendo DSiWare.
*You cannot transfer Nintendo DSi Points or software that was preinstalled on the Nintendo DSi/Nintendo DSi XL system.
*You will need to be connected to the internet to transfer data.
