E3 2021 (June 15, 2021) consisted of a Nintendo Direct and Nintendo Treehouse: Live session.
Details
In no particular order:
- Kazuya Mishima from the Tekken series was revealed as a new downloadable Super Smash Bros. Ultimate character.
- A new title in the Metroid series was announced, Metroid Dread.
- WarioWare: Get It Together! was announced.
- Mario Party Superstars was announced.
- More of Mario Golf: Super Rush was shown, specifically free updates that will be available.
- Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp was announced as yet another upcoming Nintendo Switch game and a remastering of Advance Wars and Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising.
- New The Legend of Zelda content was shown
- The first wave of downloadable content for the Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Expansion Pass
- The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD
- A new trailer for the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
- Celebrating the series' 35th anniversary, Game & Watch: The Legend of Zelda was announced, in a similar fashion to the previously released Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros.; including The Legend of Zelda, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, and a The Legend of Zelda-themed version of the Game & Watch game Vermin.
- Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope (published by Nintendo in Japan[1]) was revealed during the Ubisoft Forward presentation, and would be shown off again during the Nintendo Direct.
