SNES Glider

SNES Glider is a 3D tank driving/shooting tech demo for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, similar to the released Game Boy video game X.

It was designed during the development of the Super FX Chip, which needed a game for it. Nintendo however rejected SNES Glider as the basis Starglider was not their intellectual property.[1]

On September 17, 2006 an alpha version, as well as a tech demo of SNES Glider was leaked to the public by prototype collector drx, with a May 8, 1991 build date for the tech demo[2] (allegedly a demo of X may have been shown at the 1991 Consumer Electronics Show).
