The Dillon's Rolling Western series is a franchise by Vanpool/Nintendo. It may have began its roots as the cancelled untitled Tingle horror game from The Legend of Zelda series. Curiously, the company are linked to the modern The Legend of Zelda series after all (i.e. creation of released Tingle spin-offs).
The series features a charismatic Wild-West inspired armadillo known as Dillon, and the first game was Dillon's Rolling Western (download only), followed by Dillon's Rolling Western: The Last Ranger (download only) and Dillon's Dead-Heat Breakers (both download and retail Nintendo 3DS Game Card); creating a new solid Nintendo franchise. All Dillon games are for Nintendo 3DS. The gameplay is themed around the classic tower-defense genre, but in an explorable 3D environment, in addition to characters and items to interact with.
