Bayonetta 3 is an action hack-and-slash game, and the third title in the Bayonetta series by PlatinumGames, to be released exclusively for Nintendo Switch in October 2022.

Development

Bayonetta 3 was initially revealed with a teaser trailer shown during The Game Awards 2017, immediately following the reveal of the Nintendo Switch ports of Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2.[7] The first proper gameplay trailer for the title would be shown during the Nintendo Direct on September 23, 2021.[8] Series producer Hideki Kamiya would explain that it had been decided from the beginning that Nintendo would fund development[9], and that Nintendo and SEGA had agreed that the game would be a console exclusive.[10]
