The player can move left or right between three positions. Moles will burrow out of the ground in five positions, displayed as three dirt patches. The player must line up their hammer with a mole, where it will be automatically hit. If a mole is not hit within a second of appearing, the player will get a miss. If the player gets three misses in one session, they lose. Moles will take a longer time to appear in Game A compared to Game B.

Vermin (originally released in North America as The Exterminator, model no. MT-03) as a game in the Game & Watch series. The unit was released as part of the Silver series in July 1980.
