Balloon Fight GB is a game for Game Boy Color, released as part of the Balloon Fight series. It is a Japan-only enhancement of Balloon Kid with improved graphics, a world map and save game support. The original Balloon Kid was never released in Japan.

The game was available as a Nintendo Power cartridge service title download, although a pre-written version of the cartridge (again on a GB Memory Cartridge) was also available. Later, the game was re-released on the Japanese Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console.

Gameplay

Like the source game Balloon Kid, Balloon Fight GB is a platform-action game in which Alice must travel through eight stages to rescue her brother Jim. There is also a VS Game and Balloon Trip mode. Hello Kitty World for Famicom is another variation of Balloon Kid.

Reception

This updated version has a few Japanese texts; including on the stage map screen. It received an English fan translation by dACE on December 28, 2015.
