The Animal Crossing mobile game is an upcoming smartphone title in the Animal Crossing series. Originally announced in an investor's meeting in April 2016 and slated for release in fall 2016, the game was later delayed due to the launch of Super Mario Run in December[1], and was later delayed out of the pre-March 2017 period to account for the launch of both Super Mario Run on Android and Fire Emblem Heroes.[2]
Gameplay
The Animal Crossing mobile game will be a free-to-start title, and is said to be more of a "pure-game app" compared to Miitomo, Nintendo's first mobile game.[3] According to Nintendo, this game will be designed to be "connected to the world of Animal Crossing for dedicated gaming systems."[4]
