The System Settings is a menu within Nintendo 3DS, Wii U and Nintendo Switch families of consoles, and the successor to Wii Settings. The menu had background music until the Nintendo Switch version which removed any music in the menu. The icon for the System Settings is a wrench (Nintendo 3DS) or a cog (Nintendo Switch). There is also a variant for different settings online called the Nintendo Network ID Settings.
The menu allows the player to adjust settings for the system, such as:
- Internet Settings
- Parental Controls
- Data Management
- Profile data
- Touch Screen data
- Date and time
- Sound
- Testing the microphone
- 3D settings
- Controls
- System Transfer settings
- Language settings
- System Update
- Formatting memory
- Setting airplane mode
- Screen brightness
- Screen locking
- End-User License Agreement
- Console nickname
