Balloon Kid is a game in the Balloon Fight series, for Game Boy.

Gameplay
Unlike the original Balloon Fight, Balloon Kid is a side-scrolling platforming game where the player can float in the air by inflating up to two balloons (though it is also possible to jump with no balloons). Players assume the role of Alice; who must rescue her brother Jim through eight stages, and battle bosses along the way. There is also a two player mode featuring Alice's rival Samm.
Similar to the original Balloon Fight however, is the return of the Balloon Trip mode in which the player must stay afloat for the longest time possible, while collecting balloons and avoiding sparks (star-shaped objects which electrocute the player).
This exact game was never released in Japan, however, Japan would later receive Hello Kitty World; a version of Balloon Kid for the Famicom with Hello Kitty and related Sanrio characters. Eventually, Balloon Fight GB was released for the Nintendo Power cartridge service and the Japanese Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console.
