Metroid Prime: Federation Force is a spinoff of the Metroid Prime series of games to be released Nintendo 3DS. For the first time in the series, the game focuses primarily on the Galactic Federation rather than the adventures of Samus.
Gameplay
Gameplay is similar to past Metroid Prime titles. The game is a mission-based first-person shooter, in which up to four players can team up. Players are able to charge their blaster shots, and have access to missiles and Super Missiles; other series staples such as the Morph Ball and associated bombs, however, are not available.
Also included is a multiplayer side mode called "Blast Ball", in which up to six players divided into two teams must shoot a ball into the opposing team's goal. Power-ups appear frequently to aid players that collect them, and the opposing team's goal shrinks every time the player's team scores a point.
