What's happening at Nintendo & NIWA May 6, 2016 - Nintendo have announced a Culdecept Revolt Direct for Japan on May 11, 2016. May 5, 2016 - Nintendo have detailed their plans for E3 2016, primarily focusing on showcasing The Legend of Zelda for Wii U and NX. April 27, 2016 - At Nintendo's investor's meeting, Nintendo announced that the "NX" would be released in March 2017. The Legend of Zelda for Wii U has been delayed to 2017 and announced to launch simultaneous for the NX. Nintendo have also announced that more smartphone apps will be released, including ones based on Fire Emblem and Animal Crossing. April 2, 2016 - Nintendo have announced that the Nintendo DSi Shop will be closed on March 31, 2017. Points will no longer be able to be added on September 30, 2016. March 31, 2016 - The My Nintendo service has launched worldwide, tying in with the launch of Miitomo. March 10, 2016 - Nintendo of Europe have announced that five Wii U titles will be joining the Nintendo Selects line in April 2016. March 3, 2016 - In the latest Nintendo Direct, Star Fox Zero was reconfirmed to launch in April, while Star Fox Guard was announced to be released alongside it. Splatoon and Super Mario Maker were confirmed to be receiving additional content updates. The Wii U version of Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games was announced to be released in June 2016. Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE was confirmed to have a June 2016 release. Paper Mario: Color Splash was revealed with a 2016 release date. Details for the My Nintendo system were given. In North America, Mini Mario & Friends amiibo Challenge was announced with a March release. New Animal Crossing amiibo were announced to be released in June. SNES games were announced to be released on Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console exclusively for New Nintendo 3DS systems. Pocket Card Jockey was announced to be released in the west in May 2016. DLC for Fire Emblem Fates and Hyrule Warriors Legends was announced. Metroid Prime: Federation Force was announced to be released in late spring. Rhythm Heaven Megamix was announced to be released in the west. Kirby: Planet Robobot was revealed with a June release, while a set of Kirby amiibo were also announced.
