The Nintendo Campus Challenge 1992 cartridge (similar to Nintendo Campus Challenge 1991 cartridge) is the descriptive name for a special tournament Super Nintendo Entertainment System cartridge that is a compilation of set Super Mario World, F-Zero and Pilotwings challenges known for its use in the Nintendo Campus Challenge.
In Japan, the cartridge may be known as Super Mario Club Taikai You (Japanese: スーパーマリオクラブ大会用), literally "Super Mario Club For Tournament" where it was shown in Super Mario Club (television show)'s "Super Famicom Modern Three Kinds" (Japanese: スーパーファミコン近代三種) in October 1992.
The cartridge was not meant for home use, and is extremely rare with only two-three known in the hands of collectors (as of 2011).[1]
Gameplay
During the Super Mario World section, the player has to collect 50 coins. During F-Zero, two laps must be completed. During Pilotwings, the player must land on two targets correctly.
After a time limit passes, the player's total score is calculated with the formula ((Super Mario World score) + (F-Zero score*100) + (Pilotwings score*10000)).
