Gameplay adjusts as the player drives, similar to the eventual games such as Pokémon GO for smart devices. Kuruma de DS is designed to be used directly with a GPS, such as ECLIPSE AVN-ZX02iTemplate:Fact, in Toyota's Estima Hybrid minivan. Using it and a Nintendo DS, players can control the mapping system.[1]. The software also includes Miis. In Kuruma de DS, characters provide local quizzes (ご当地クイズ), hand-drawn map notes, and tourist information. It also features voice synthesis similar to the game Tomodachi Collection.
