Hello Kitty World is a Japan-only game for the Famicom.
The core game is the same as the earlier overseas release Balloon Kid for the Game Boy, except for character changes, namely the main characters are now Sanrio's characters Hello Kitty (player one, replacing Alice), Mimmy (player two, replacing Samm) and Tippy Bear (the boy blown away by a gust of wind, replacing Jim). Other characters from the same franchise appear as minor characters (Joey the mouse and Mory the mole).
The staff roll is also generally the same but with a few additional people.
This version was only released in Japan, while North America and Europe got Balloon Kid. Despite this, Nintendo would also release Balloon Fight GB for the Japanese market in 2000, which was originally for the Nintendo Power (cartridge service) but later for the Japanese Nintendo 3DS eShop.
